2010 opportunities for Wilderness Candidates to complete their Vigil in the Voyager Territory!
NOTE THE KENTUCKY AND ILLINOIS VIGILS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED, OHIO'S WAS COMPLETED WITH ONE CANDIDATE QUALLIFYING FOR WILDERNESS MEMEBERSHIP... Congratulations Randy Fetters!!! If we get some photos or vides of his Vigil we will be glad to share with everyone!
The last opportunity to attend a vigil will be held during the Michigan Spring Trace in Lake, MI and will begin on Saturday May 22nd – 23rd. MI is planning on starting this vigil on Saturday night at 5:00pm.
All events begin on Friday, but the vigil won’t start until Saturday, unless otherwise noted, which will give you time to come in the day before if you prefer. The vigil starts promptly at 1:00pm local time. If are able and plan on attending any of these events, please contact me to confirm. I will need to make the appropriate arrangements so that you may attend the vigil. Please check the related chapter websites to get more information on their Spring Trace events.
Please come to the vigil well rested and “prayed up” to ensure a successful experience. To help have a safe trip home after the vigil, please have at least one person with you that will be “fresh” for the drive home. You can expect to be released on Sunday around 10:00am. If your driver for the trip home is not a Wilderness member, he may camp in a special area on the property, or make his own arrangements, but he will not be allowed to be in contact with you or any of the proceedings until you are dismissed.
One last word… this event will test your skills and frontier knowledge, but the real opportunity for you is in the spiritual experience of the vigil. All who have gone before you have met with God during the vigil. Please take the time to prayerfully prepare yourself. There will be very few times in your life to have an opportunity to spend this kind of time with your God. Don’t miss God because you weren’t prepared.
NOTE: Current Wilderness members feel free to attend, you may be needed to help grade the Wilderness candidates.
