On Friday, January 5, 2007, the Board of Administration for the General Council of the Assemblies of God announced that Rev. Doug Marsh had been appointed as National Director for Royal Rangers.

Doug, an Assemblies of God missionary since 1993, helped shape the conditions and circumstances that have led to the growth of Royal Rangers around the world.

Doug joined Royal Rangers as a boy while living with his missionary family in Peru and Bolivia. It was during those early days of his life that God placed a desire in his heart to reach the young people of the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ through the ministry of Royal Rangers.

Doug later attended Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri where he met Kerry, and they were wed in 1992. They moved to Costa Rica in 1993 to further develop the Royal Rangers ministry throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. While in Costa Rica, Doug and Kerry also founded and built Camp Summit, an 80-acre evangelism and discipleship center for men and boys.

In 2002 he founded Royal Rangers International (RRI), a ministry of the Assemblies of God World Missions to expand, strengthen, and serve the Royal Rangers ministry around the world. Since that time, Royal Rangers overseas has grown to approximately 100,000 members and is now active in 73 nations.

Although Doug's passion for boys around the world has not diminished, his commitment to the boys of America burns just as strong. He is eager to see Royal Rangers reach its fullest potential as an evangelistic ministry here at home and around the world.

Doug officially begins his duties February 1st. However, Doug and Kerry will retain their missionary appointment with AGWM and remain active in overseas ministry. Doug will continue to lead Royal Rangers International over the next 15-18 months, when a new RRI Director will be named.

If you or your church support Doug and Kerry, you are encouraged to remain active in your financial support of their ministry. This will insure that no opportunities to reach the lost overseas are missed and that all that has been accomplish will be preserved.
